Ski Trab Titan Vario.2 Binding

Sale price $449.00

### Ski Trab Says ###

The VARIO.2 binding has an innovative toe unit of one simple component in titanium.
Elasticity, strength and independence characterise this ultra-lightweight binding. The heel unit offers different solutions improving the quality of release: lateral elasticity till 43°, 8mm elastic slideable track, compatible front and side releases.

Weight - 250 g

Greg's Take: It took a little getting used to at first but after a few months on this binding I've been getting along with it quite nicely. The toe is an engineering marvel - each arm is allowed to pivot independently which provides both elasticity and retention that is a step above most pintech bindings. Paired with the elasticity of the heel tower, the binding provides smooth power transmission from boot to ski. The downside is the lack of riser options on the heel - a race flap covers the pins which works most of the time but a rotation of the tower is required to go from flat to higher riser modes. A small price to pay for a sleek yet robust binding. Pairs well on lighter mountaineering skis and powder planks alike.
