What a day! With low winds and beautiful sun, the crisp morning saw us get a late start on the Sherb. It was a group of 8 mostly new backcountry skiers today, and spirits were much higher than the temp. The Tuckerman Ravine Trail going up was packed down by a snow cat, giving great grip underfoot. At the top the Tuckerman Ravine was beautiful and empty due to considerable avalanche danger, and due to cold temps I kicked the brake clean off my ski. Oops! The Sherburne Ski Trail down was nice, mostly hard-pack with bumps, but super playful with great views and golden sun peeking through the trees. Great day for a OuterU FaceGlove!
