The White Mountain Throwdown is a 3-month series where a Strava segment will be created and raced during a given month. Below you'll find the summer 2025 schedule. The rules are simple: complete the segment in the given month and upload to Strava. Awards: Complete all three routes and you get a free pair of RTW socks. Top 10 men & women on each segment will receive gift cards to the shop (prize schedule below). AND there will be an overall award to the top 3 men & women plus some age group awards (18 & Under, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60+ - age as of Sept 1st).

May 2025: South Moat. 2.75 miles / 2050' - View Segment
We chose this route not only because of the stunning summit views, but also because it's free of snow. If you're looking for more vert / miles do this as part of a Moat Traverse. The segment starts just after the gate and ends right before you top out on the summit. Keep your head up and follow the yellow blazes and please don't cut corners!

June 2nd - 8th: Special edition Lonesome Lake Throwdown, sandwiched between the Sunapee Scramble (USATF mountain champs) and Cirque Series Cannon. - View Segment

July 2025: Mount Adams. 4.6mi / 4,500'. View Segment.
Mount Adams is one of the biggest efforts in the Whites and we chose this route because the RMC trails are hidden gems and well maintained. Start off on the Valley Way trail and keep your head up. After two miles turn on to the Scar Trail. This is a beautiful trail that sees relatively little foot traffic. Continue on to the Airline Trail. From here it's a straight shot to the summit.
