HELMETS:
Ski helmets are required by our insurance. They must be ski helmets – mountaineering helmets are OK. YOU ONLY NEED TO WEAR FOR THE DESCENT. This is in your best interest and for the safety of the event. If you need any clarification, please reach out.

LOCATION and START DAY / TIME:
In hopes of avoiding any confusion, this event is at BLACK MOUNTAIN OF MAINE, 39 Glover Rd, Rumford, ME 04276. The start time is 10AM on FRIDAY the 6th. Event is staged at the old lodge to the looker’s left of the main lodge and load-in is via the bridge at the main lodge to preserve the nordic trails.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT: Let us know so we can plan accordingly. This could be for various reasons (injury, illness, COVID). We want to prioritize participant health and well-being. You will be issued a gift card to the shop and hopefully we can bump someone off the waitlist.

PARKING: See map of where parking is allowed and the unload zone. Yes, it's a little far from the venue but it will allow the mountain to operate without interfering with customer parking.

Check-in: 8–9:30am inside the old base lodge. You’ll get your bib, swag bag, and any last-minute items. Pre-event briefing at 9:55am.

Event Staging Area: Bring your own chairs, blankets, and whatever else you may need. You will have access to the event lodge with electricity. We will not provide a tent.
