Chest Deep in Right Gully - 11/14/25

Another early alarm had me ready to throw in the towel. Why would I want to go up again? I was just up there. I should go back to bed...
At 5:40am Tyler and I headed up the trail to go "look around." Both openly assuming that nothing was going to worth skiing.
We passed by Hermit and made our way into the bowl. We kept going up, skinning to the base of Right Gully. Our smiles and our laughter grew as we fought through chest deep snow up Right Gully. Soaking wet, laughing, and barely making any progress we made it about 80 percent up right before the alpine brush stopped us. We transitioned to our skinny skis and put it in the back seat for the soft POWDER turns down.
We then skied Chicken Rock Gully, hitting some ice fall buried under the recent snow, which made the turns interesting. I had enough time to skin back up Chicken Rock for another lap. Hooting and hollering as I skied out to report back to work... on time.
