Description

Built for trees, steeps, and wherever the skintrack leads.

The Backwoods Splitboard is a backcountry-ready version of our most beloved freeride board, hidden behind a pow shape - designed for riders who want to surf pow in the morning and charge couloirs in the afternoon. With a tapered directional profile, mid-stiff flex, and Weston’s touring-specific construction, the Backwoods Split delivers confidence on the climb and pure stoke on the descent.

A wide nose and tapered tail give this board exceptional float, especially in tight trees and deep snow. The camber underfoot grips on spicy sidehills and exposed lines, while the rocker nose helps you stay on top without leaning in the backseat. It's the kind of board that makes long tours worth it and surprise storms unforgettable.

Built around our Slayer Split Core (poplar + bamboo stringers), the Backwoods Split is light enough for big days but tough enough for years of use. Tip to Tail Carbon Stringers increase torsional rigidity and drive, while a Sintered Durasurf 4001 Base keeps your glide fast and efficient. Split-specific tech includes our SplitTech inner edges for skin traction and tail-shifted balance for easier kick turns, Stainless Steel Edges for durability, UHMW Sidewalls for impact resistance, and Skinlock System compatibility for quick transitions.

Every detail was shaped by feedback from Weston guides, athletes, and avalanche professionals - and it’s all backed by our 4-Year Warranty and Board Slayer Program.

For riders who want one board to rule the trees, steeps, and everything in between - the Backwoods Split is your daily driver.
