The Mammut Probe 280 is an ideal probe for most avalanche scenarios. It adds reach from the 240 short while keeping the collapsed length the same meaning it will still fit in short pack pockets. Aluminum is robust and only 5g more thanĀ its carbon counterpart. We are big fans of the speed lock mechanism for easy and reliable assembly and breakdown.
