Our first time on Sherburne started off with some wind and clouds but quickly cleared up for a sunny descent. We hiked up the Tuckerman Ravine Trail and crossed over to the Sherburne Ski Trail around 2 miles in. On our way up, we passed (we're really athletic) some fellow skiers, boarders, and hikers. The conditions on the skin up were mellow, with good coverage until the transition to descent where winds picked up. The top of our descent was icy, the snow likely blown away by the high winds, but as we skied down the snow got much better. Overall it was a very fun first time and, although icy, the coverage was better than we expected!
