Left Gully and Left of Left - 12/15/24

You don't know until you go... and well I went. Another alpine start here to catch a beautiful sunrise before work. With word that Left was skied, myself and two friends headed up to the bowl. With a temperature inversion it was not frigid like in the parking lot. Booting up into left the snow began to soften a touch, with some wind drifted snow. We went about half way up and transitioned over. The snow above looked firm and void of the wind drifted snow. The ski down was not survival skiing but the turns were sub-par at best. Skiers right side was icy bed surface and skiers left was grabby and punchy. Another walk out of the bowl with skis on our backs and a fast and firm Sherb to get me to work before 9am.
