Sluice / Lip Mini Golf (Tuckerman Ravine) 12/23/24

It was another frigid morning with temps around -1ºF at the Pinkham lot. Dressed for success, all the puffy layers and hand warmers were dawned. Aside from the cold temps it turned out to be a beautiful morning and we were able to capitalize on a window of nice light in Tuckerman Ravine. The snow consisted of dense wind slab with some thinner slabs on unconsolidated snow. We picked our way down a few lines (lower Sluice, Chicken Rock Gully, and some of Lip). The clouds rolled in and we rolled out.

All in all, the Sherburne trail skis better than half the resorts early season.
