Tuckerman Ravine 4/21/25

Happy Patriot's Day! It was warm before we even left the shop at 8am. Hilary and I just got back from Norway and didn't want to miss classic spring conditions so we headed up to the bowl to see what was going on.

The bad:

-It's not worth skinning up the TRT, at this point, you'll just dirty up your skins.
-The Sherb is pretty much toasted. We were able to ski roughly half of it, taking our skis off a couple times along the way. With a continued trend in warm weather, it's likely that the ropes will keep moving up this week.

The good:

-Coverage in the ravine is really good. There several glide cracks forming on the lip and around the icefall. Skiers were out enjoying all classics: Dodge's, Hillman's, Left Gully, Chute, and Lower Right Gully.
-Snowfields, Airplane have plenty of snow for the next month
-We're in a solid corn cycle (warm days / cold nights) so this is a good week to get up and score some turns before everything rots out in the coming weeks.

Dodge's Drop, Hillman's Highway, and Duchess.

HoJo's at Hermit Lake was in full force.

The Sherburne Ski Trail has seen enough.
