Hillman's Highway - 4/23/25

Starting off from Pinkham you're best to hike up and it's not worth putting skins, as snow is getting pretty bare. I transitioned to skins briefly towards the base of Hillman's. Conditions were pretty breezy but bluebird at the base of the bootclimb, however winds died down through the upper half - so temps felt tropical at the summit!

Snow was skiing great today, worth 2 runs up Hillman's. First lap I descended down skier's right side, and second time around I traversed over from the summit to the left and got more great turns in. Slow was soft and got a little sloughy by mid afternoon, but not sticky and baked or skied out - call that a win.

Skiing down the sherb is...decent at best. Upper third is skiable and then it's on/off and I transition out at the first cutoff to the TRT and walked out.

Bottom of the run.

Not Squall
