Valentines Day Pow Laps 2/14/25
Feb 14, 2025
Our morning began with strong cold winds in the Pinkham parking lot. Greg, Gabi, Lucas, and I made our way into the protection of the forest. Breaking trail we made our way up to the Graham Trail cut off. We transitioned to ski mode as the sun poked over the ridge behind us. Several inches of fresh snow made the ski down quite enjoyable.
On our 2nd lap we took the Tuckerman Ravine Trail up to cutover five. The lower Sherb was soft, untracked, and fun. There is full coverage and the water bars are starting to fill in. Today I tested out the Ski Trab Ortles pack. It is a great ski mountaineering pack with a double axe carry. I found it fit well for skiing hard on the descents as well. Ive spent the last few days on the DPS Pagoda 100. It has been a great powder ski for charging hard and hitting drops. Today, I finished my morning with a wonderful latte at the shop! Happy Valentines Day.
