Born in the fells of England's Lake District, inov-8 built its reputation on one obsession: grip. Lightweight, close-to-the-ground, and unapologetically aggressive, they weren't shoes for everyone — but for the runner who wanted to feel the mountain beneath their feet, nothing came close.
New England had its own inov-8 era. In the early 2010s, local legends like Kevin Tilton and Jim Johnson were putting serious miles in them across the region's muddiest races, steepest ridges, and gnarliest ultras. If you were on the trails here between 2012 and 2016, you knew the brand.
Well they are back and have improved upon their models by adding protection with beefier midsoles while keeping their super grippy outsoles.
