A Sea of White 1/24/25

A morning of cold, wind, and questionable snow. Making our way into Tuckerman's Ravine we were greeted with cold winds blowing snow. Because the visibility was low and wind slabs were present we kept to the right side of the bowl. Making our way through the brush under Right Gulley, we traversed under rock buttresses to Lobster Claw. We noticed significant loading and signs of instability between Right and Lobster Claw. We entered Lobster Claw high and continuing booting up. The snow was collapsing below us and we sank up too our chest several times.

Our descent was made up of tight turns through varying snow. In the lower section we picked our way through brush and powder. The low visibility made for a more challenging ski but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The Sherb was fun but did not offer much in the way of coverage.
