Terrific Tuesday- 2/24/26

Guest Blog: Sarah Jenness

We arrived at the Pinkham Notch lot and the wind was whipping, but as soon as we entered the Tuckerman Ravine Trail, we were protected by the trees. Emma, Tomas and I skinned up to Hermit Lake where we were greeted by many other skiers. Despite the wind, the sun kept us nice and warm, and the skies were blue with light clouds.

After ripping our skins, we went in the Hermit Lake Shelter and had a snack and chatted with the others who were taking the chance to warm up. We descended down the Sherburne Ski Trail and it was WONDERFUL. The beginning was a bit drifty, but soft, and as we made our way down the moguls grew. There were a few icy patches, but few and far in between. Almost so good we considered lapping again.
