Tuckerman Ravine (Chute) 12/10/24

Well Winter 1.0 is coming to an end tomorrow so today was a nice send off for what was a very fun start to the ski season. It was noticeably warmer above 3k' today and MOIST. We were sitting in a cloud with decent visibility but the light was flat. The ravine floor had filled in and fully connected up Left Gully since I skied there last week. Speaking of LG, take a minute to read this observation submitted to MWAC.

We're looking at 3-5" of rain with the potential to create historic flooding. The bulk of the rain will arrive tomorrow night and it's going to be sad to see all the conditions flip but this is nothing new and Winter 2.0 will be here soon.

The floor of the ravine. Left now runs all the way to the floor.

The Chute continues to deliver.

A mix of conditions - fresh snow, wind slab, and everything in between.
