Ascent plates explained. Billy Goat and Auftriib
Billy Goat Tech are plates made of aluminum. They attach by being sandwiched between the boot and crampons. There are two different sizes and are specific for Hard boot and Soft Boots.
Auftriib's are made of plastic. The Cramplifier attaches the same way as the Billy Goats. The saucer does not require you to remove your crampon but attaches using an attached voile strap. Both Auftribs come in a small, medium and large sizes.
