We started out around 7:15am on the Gulf of Slides Trail. The ascending was good with a inch or two of light fluff on top of the hard snow under. Once we reached the cache we stopped for some water and a quick snack. We then headed up main gully and found snow conditions that were variable, but no real concern of slabs. We transitioned right below the ice bulge and were met with some good powder turns. Once we got back to the cache we set back up to ski Gully 2 after some steep skinning and bushwacking we decided it wasn't worth our time and turned around and skied out. The GOS trail was very good up top with a few sharks as we got lower. Over all a very good day.Â
